Web Mason Privacy Policy

This supplement describes the information Web Mason handles beyond what's covered in our Product Privacy Policy, which applies to every product Software KC, LLC ("Software KC," "we," or "us") sells directly. Read the two together. The terms for using Web Mason are in the Web Mason Terms and Conditions.

1. Your Website and Business Information

  • Your brief and site plan: what you tell us about your business, your customers, and how you sound, plus the plan for your pages.
  • Your website content: your pages, templates, styles, images, files, and settings.
  • Business details for search engines: details such as your business name, address, phone, and hours. These are published on your site so search engines can read them, so only enter what you want to be public.
  • Your conversations with the assistant: your messages and the changes it proposes, so you can review and apply them.

We use this information to provide Web Mason and host your site. We don't sell it or use it for advertising.

2. Form Submissions From Your Visitors

When someone sends a form on your site, we store the submission on your behalf and screen it automatically for spam. You decide what happens to it:

  • Submissions are kept until you delete them, and you can delete them at any time. This includes messages flagged as spam, which are kept so you can check for real messages flagged by mistake.
  • You can choose to have submissions forwarded to your email and deleted from Web Mason right away.
  • We don't use your visitors' submissions for our own purposes, and we don't contact your visitors.

If you're a visitor with a question about a form you sent, please contact the business whose site you used. We'll help them respond where we can.

3. Your Published Site

Your site is hosted on Microsoft Azure, which records standard technical information about requests to your site, such as IP address and browser, to deliver and secure it. Google Analytics runs on your site only if you add your own Google Analytics ID, and that information goes to your Google account.

4. Google Search Console and Google Analytics Connections

If you choose to connect Google Search Console or Google Analytics, we receive your site's reports from Google so we can show them in your Web Mason dashboard. A connection only happens when you click a clearly labeled Connect button, it's used only for that purpose, and you can disconnect at any time.

5. The AI Assistant

Web Mason's assistant is provided through Anthropic. When you use it, we send Anthropic your message along with the information the assistant needs to answer, such as parts of your brief, site plan, website content, search check results, and any images you ask it to look at. Anthropic returns a response, which you see as a reply or a proposed change. If you don't use the assistant, nothing is sent to Anthropic.

6. How Long We Keep It

We keep your website and business information while your account is active. Form submissions, including those flagged as spam, are kept until you delete them, as described above. When you close your account, we handle your information as described in our Product Privacy Policy.
